We choose a prime campsite by the Dargo River where you'll return each day after exploring the sights and history of the area.
This trip is a perfect way to explore the Victorian High Country with a base camp allowing you to establish your campsite without the need to pack and setup each day. Bring your Caravan or Camper Trailer for an even more comfortable setup.

Meeting in the iconic town of Dargo on dat 1, we travel to our campsite where you can setup your camp for the duration of the trip.
Camp is accessible to off road caravans and camper trailers.Followed by an afternoon drive to collect firewood then the opportunity to settle into camp and enjoy a campfire.
Day 2 is spent exploring the Crooked River with many river crossings and Gold mining history
Day 3 is a full day drive visiting Blue Rag Range with spectacular views.
A leisurely pack up on Day 4 morning concluding the trip returning to Dargo.
Trip is suitable for 4wd vehicles that have high ground clearance and low range gearing. Due to the numerous river crossings, a vehicle snorkel is required.

What you need to bring:Vehicles will require a UHF radio for communication, Allterain or Mud Terrain tyres, Snorkel for river crossings, a fire extinguisher and a compressor with tyre gauge to inflate/deflate tyres. A suspension lift kit is recommended.All camping equipment including accommodation, bedding, fridge, cooking equipment, cooking stove, camp chair, etcFood and drinks for the duration of the trip.And a sense of adventure!
Note:
No pets allowed as we will be travelling in National Parks.
The trip details may change due to weather or track conditions.
Rain may cause access problems to some areas.
Fire bans can stop the use of camp fires etc.
