Starting bright and early on Saturday in Rawson, you'll step back in time to uncover the rich history of the gold rush eras. Marvel at the famous High Country Huts, bask in stunning vistas, take short exploratory walks, and feel the adrenaline rush with some thrilling 4-wheel driving adventures.
Your itinerary will have you navigating through the historic Walhalla township, crossing over to the majestic Macalister Gorge, and winding your way back through ancient mine sites, forgotten town settlements, and timeless huts, all before wrapping up in Rawson on Sunday.

Maximum 6 vehicles
What you need to bring:Vehicles will require a UHF radio for communication, Allterain or Mud Terrain tyres, a fire extinguisher and a compressor with tyre gauge to inflate/deflate tyres. All camping equipment including accommodation, bedding, fridge, cooking equipment, cooking stove, camp chair, etcFood and drinks for the duration of the trip.And a sense of adventure!
Note:
Trip is not suitable for trailers.
No pets allowed as we will be travelling in National Parks.
The trip details may change due to weather or track conditions.
Rain may cause access problems to some areas.
Fire bans can stop the use of camp fires etc.
